A Change of Intention

All praise is due to Allah Almighty, Lord of the Worlds.

Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, my dear brothers and sisters.

I am strong in my belief that to successfully achieve a goal, one must first begin with an intention. I was asked recently at a parenting program about this. The parent wanted to know what if he made his intention but somewhere along the way, things change and his intention doesnt’ seem to fit anymore. It is okey to adjust the intention accordingly to the new worldview especially now that one has more knowledge and awareness.

I am facing this situation where I find my work and efforts are taking a different direction than I had initially expected. In my first post ‘ It’s done!’, I wrote my intention for starting this blog was to share my knowledge of Khalifah Method but as the blog developed, I found that there was a need for my intention to be changed. Although it is still primarily about Khalifah Method, I have found that it has become more of a personal journal instead. I do know my thoughts and opinions have been shaped by my understanding and implementation of Khalifah Method in my life since 2004 but looking back at some posts, there were also some that were colored by my (widely varied and interesting) past experiences and upbringing.

So, my intention for continuing this blog is to share my life experiences and views, with the hope that it may bring good, in any way possible, to someone who reads it, Insha’Allah. May Allah Almighty accept my intention, continue to guide me to the Truth and forgive me of my failings. Ameen.
